The Maasai Mara in Kenya is one of the most iconic places in the world to catch a glimpse of giraffes in the wild.
These gentle giants are a common sight on the savanna, and their graceful movements and towering heights make them a popular subject for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
Maasai giraffes are the largest of the nine giraffe subspecies, found only in Kenya and Tanzania. They can grow to be up to 19 feet tall and weigh up to 2,600 pounds.
As social animals, giraffes live in herds of up to 50 individuals, typically made up of females and their young. Males often wander off on their own or join smaller herds.
One of our favorite ways to see them is from up above...climb into a hot air balloon at sunrise just as the sun pierces the horizon and cruise silently over the breathtaking Maasai Mara and the incredible wildlife that call it home.

In the vast expanse of the Arctic, polar bears reign as the largest and most northerly bear species on Earth. It is truly a wonder how any animal can successfully raise their young in such a harsh and desolate environment.
Yet, against all odds, attentive mother polar bears nurture their cubs to thrive in extreme conditions.
Cubs stay with their mothers for just over two years, learning as much as possible including how to navigate treacherous sea ice, when and where to migrate, how to master the art of hunting seals and how to avoid lurking dangers.
Venture deep into the Arctic with @thelegacyuntold for the incredible chance at seeing this extraordinary species in their natural habitat.

Spotted in Kenya: A newborn zebra foal with strange polka-dot markings has recently been photographed in the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Although zebra stripes are as unique as fingerprints, this is the first time that this type of pattern has ever been seen amongst these animals in this region of the world.
Tira, a new-born, has a condition called pseudomelanism, a rare genetic mutation in which animals display an abnormality in their stripe pattern.
While he may seem like the odd one out, researchers have established that if he can make it to adulthood, there is no reason why Tira wouldn’t be able to join the herd.
There is no better time to visit the Massai Mara then now. You might just get a glimpse of this one-of-a-kind zebra…

Namibia, known for its vast deserts, towering sand dunes, and rugged mountains, provides the perfect backdrop for an extraordinary wildlife experience.
Lions have fascinating behaviors and adaptations, in Namibia specifically, including their ability to detect water.
Desert-adapted lions have a highly developed sense of smell, which is essential for their survival. They use their sense of smell to track prey, find water, and navigate their way around. The Jacobson’s organ, which is located in the roof of their mouth, helps them to detect even the faintest scent of water. Some experts even believe that they can smell water from up to 5 miles away.
Drinking water can also be a social activity. In areas with abundant water, lion prides will gather at watering holes, providing an opportunity for social interaction and bonding. Cubs and younger members of the pride often play and frolic in the water, enhancing their coordination and swimming skills.
