Just a 4 ½ hour direct flight from New York City, Iceland is close enough for a long weekend trip yet its dramatic landscapes and high octane adventures make it feel a world away, and if you have a couple of weeks to spend circumnavigating it, you should!  Exploring ice caves, spotting killer whales in the arctic sea, chasing the northern lights on a dogsled, lava caving, scuba diving, and snowmobiling are just some of our favorite experiences in Iceland. Traveling by Superjeep or helicopter allows for more flexible routes off the tourist track, and we have a network of excellent guides who will take you to the best hidden ice caves, secret geothermal lagoons, and lesser known waterfalls away from the crowds. We can also arrange for you to climb a glacier with a climate scientist and learn about glacial retreat with your feet on the ice.
